Randomness

Oh, heck. Let's put up another post. Here are some pictures that are on the camera.

This first batch is from Sydney had her hair cut. Anne took her to the same lady she goes to. She didn't think the kids' place really did that great of a job so she tried this. And she did a good job. (Note the ribbons the lady put in her hair.)

And Sydney apparently helped Mommy make the bed in Grandma B's room. (That is what our guest room is called. It doesn't matter who stays there when or for how long. It is always Grandma B's room.)

Catching Up - Anne's Birthday

The beginning of January saw Anne's 40th birthday. Her sisters, Aunt Marta and Aunt Helena, both came into town to help celebrate.

The last time, I believe, that the entire Murvosh clan was together this picture was taken:

This most recent time the entire Murvosh clan was together this picture was taken:

You might notice that Anne's hair looks a bit lighter in the second picture. No, that's not from gray hairs popping out now that she's (almost) 40 (in the picture). For her birthday she went and got her hair styled and colored. She had some lighter highlight streaks put in it. It looks really good.

Anne's hand-knit socks from Grandma B arrived in the mail. Sydney had to get in on the picture.

Sydney also got some socks from Grandma B. Her's arrived early because Grandma B wanted her to have them before it was too warm to wear them. All of our socks were knit from yarn we picked out and sent to Grandma B for her birthday. (Along with yarn Sydney picked out for Grandma B for her own socks.) I didn't get a picture of Sydney with her socks, but maybe I'll try to do that and get a picture with me with my birthday socks that just arrived.

We held Anne's party at Mark and Jackie's house. Not only is it larger with a basement, but Mark has a Wii set up down in the theater in the basement where we were able to play Guitar Hero and Rock Band.

Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate. While we hardly got any snow this year we did get several weeks of sub-freezing weather. And Anne's party coincided with a day of rain and sub-freezing temperatures. So work friends that were supposed to come over from Spokane had to cancel due to the weather. But we still had a great time.

And my 40th birthday is in just a couple days. Wow. Are we really that old?

Catch Up - Christmas

Hmm. Apparently it's been a while since I've done one of these things. Well, hope you like lots of pictures.

Sydney drew this picture all by herself on her Magna Doodle drawing board thingy. It is a picture of her family. Pictures are (from left to right) Grandma B, Mommy, Daddy, Sydney, Grandma and Grandpa M.

For Christmas we went over to Mark and Jackie's on Christmas Eve. Sydney spent some time playing Mario Kart with the boys.

Then she waited patiently while everyone came in and presents were sorted and handed out.

She got the Hungry, Hungry Hippo game and a tea set. Both were things she really, really wanted.

And she still has a thing for bows.

Christmas morning arrived and we had breakfast while we waited for Grandma and Grandpa M to come over.Imagine Sydney's surprise when she got to her breakfast spot at the counter and found a new Tinkerbell plate, cup and bowl set from Santa waiting there.

Peeking over the sofa as we came down the stairs in the morning was a lion! It turned out to be a pillow pet. Sydney loved it and sat on it while she opened presents. Below that is a picture of her holding up an Abby Cadabby (from Sesame Street) shirt she got.

After all the excitement of opening presents it was time to relax. Tea with Grandma M is a good way to relax.

And then maybe take a nap with Mommy in Sydney's new sleeping bag with her new pillow pet as a pillow.
